Learn How to streamline your business in 6 ways

2022 is giving me some real “streamlined” energy in my business are you feeling it?

It’s telling me that it’s the year for you to stop wasting time on things that don’t serve you and instead, focus on things that are only pushing you forward, putting more money in your bank, and freeing up your time.

Now, when it comes to your business, there are a lot of areas where that could come into play.

This is why I want to go over some ways that you can start streamlining your business RIGHT NOW:

Create a weekly plan of priorities.

As a mom, partner, business owner, friend, sister, you name it, you’re carrying so many titles that tasks are coming to you from left, right, and center. This means keeping your priorities in line for your business could not only get kind of messy, but you could find these priorities are consistently pushed down your list.

To avoid letting your business goals get derailed, start taking some time every Sunday to create a weekly plan of priorities. Ask yourself “what has to get done this week” and make sure to include things in your personal life as well so that you can plan out things as realistically as possible.

Remove anything that isn't urgent.

In addition to asking yourself “what has to get done this week?”, also ask yourself “what would I like to get done if I have time?”

The answer to these questions are things that are not urgent and can stand to get pushed to the back if needed. However, writing them down also helps you get them out of your head and onto the paper so that you know they’re accounted for and you can revisit them next week to see if you’re able to tackle them.

Set time limits.

Time blocking works! As you plan out your week and your priorities, give yourself a dedicated block of time or time limit. By doing this, your mind knows that it only has a certain window, and you’ll be much more likely to work 10x faster and harder to get it done.

Outsource, outsource, outsource!

I’m a big advocate for working smarter, not harder, and outsourcing is one of my favorite ways to do this. When you decide to take on EVERYTHING, you’re choosing to grow NOTHING.

You can’t run and grow your business by yourself. Outsourcing is perfect for one-time projects or monthly tasks that you know are not your area of expertise. By handing tasks like email management, social media management, or customer service over to someone else, you can free up your time to focus on other things that will help you grow your business. My favorite website to get quick turnaround tasks done is FIVERR.

Automate.

Updating inventory, sending out emails, or even just scheduling out content is a whole job, and in 2022, we don’t have time for that.

Streamline your business by automating everything you can so that you don’t have to waste your time doing something that a system can do for you. And if you’re not a fan of setting up systems, there are fantastic experts that can help you get your automation set up in no time! Also, look into Zapier to help with integrating your systems.

Invest in yourself.

This one is last but I saved it for a good reason because it’s probably the most important! In order to continue streamlining your business to achieve the heights of success you want, you need to continue investing in yourself.

Invest in learning more and more about your industry and the power you have in your business. Learn more about yourself as a business owner and all the places you can go with that title. Learn all the different ways you can grow your business and the steps you can take to get there because you will never know it all.

In short, streamlining your business starts with streamlining yourself. Put yourself on track to continue to grow and your business will too.
